I highly recommend James P. Doran, MD for your orthopedic needs!

While Christmas decorating, I fell 6 feet down off a ladder. I shattered my wrist, displacing the bones, and would have lost range of motion without surgery. Shore Orthopedic was able to get me in to their office sooner than many other orthopedics.
At my appointment meeting Dr. Doran, he explained thoroughly why surgery was needed and how it would help my wrist, arm, and hand again. A metal plate was necessary to achieve the best results. He answered all of my questions and him and his staff were excellent at making sure all pre-operative information and history was accurately taken and recorded. Dr. Doran made sure to contact my cardiologist to ensure there would be no complications with the surgery.

The surgery was performed at Shore Medical Center. Dr. Doran greeted me prior to the surgery, answering any questions myself or my husband had. He made me feel very comfortable prior to the surgery. Although I was totally asleep during surgery, I can say Dr. Doran met me in the surgery room, ensuring all assistants were doing what was needed. Walking me through the process. Upon waking in recovery, Dr. Doran met with us again and told us everything we needed to know as to what occurred during surgery: that the metal plate was properly screwed to the bone, discussed medications I was given during the surgery and went over all at home care instructions. At home recovering, any questions or concerns I had, Dr. Doran’s assistant was wonderful at relaying messages from the doctor and ensuring everything I was experiencing was typical for my healing journey. 2 weeks after my surgery, at my follow up visit, Dr. Doran was very thorough and communicated everything I needed to do at home to continue the best healing outcome. After my in office X Ray, he showed me how well the wrist was healing and you can see a huge difference in the before and after healing of the wrist, bones, and fractures, as well as viewing my new titanium wrist plate.
The surgical site isn’t more than 2 inches long.

No one wants to have surgery, but if you need it, I highly recommend Shore Orthopedic, and Dr. Doran for your orthopedic needs.
